Since I was four years old, I’ve always been around a soccer ball. For me it was never just a game, it was a way of life. Throughout my early years and into college I was drawn to the excitement and camaraderie of being a part of a team. And now today, as head coach of the SDSU Aztecs women’s soccer program, I’m in a position to teach important values and life skills to others.
But life is more than cleats and kicks for me, because faith and family are at the center of my life. And right in the middle of all that is EastLake Church. From the time we first walked through the doors nine years ago, we knew we had found a home
And now, as a family, we enjoy giving back. I lead a small group for junior high boys and am thrilled to see the growth in their lives and the impact on my own son. We’ve made a commitment to invest in our church just as they have invested in us and our family. As I tell the players I coach—don’t be afraid to jump in with both feet.
